On the afternoon of March 6, Zhoushi Town convened the Meeting for Speeding up Innovation Transformation and Promote High Quality Development, praising those advanced enterprises in innovation and transformation, in a move to encourage all enterprises towards high quality development.

Yokoyama, General Manager of Starlite was invited to attend the meeting. Fifty advanced enterprises were commended at the meeting, and they were respectively awarded the titles of “Top 10 Enterprise Taxpayers”, “Top 10 Outstanding Foreign-funded Enterprises”, ”Top 10 Outstanding Domestic Enterprises”, “Top 10 Innovative Enterprises”, and “Top 10 Technical Upgrade Enterprises”. Among them, Starlight Plastic Products (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of “Top 10 Outstanding Foreign-funded Enterprises” in Zhoushi town, and GM Yokoyama came to the stage and received the award.

At the meeting, the representatives from the governmental departments and enterprises in Zhoushi Town exchanged their speeches. Finally CHEN Jianzhong, CPC committee town secretary delivered a speech, saying that when recognizing performances and keeping firm confidence, all the people should have a clear understanding of the current situation and effectively enhance the responsibility and sense of urgency in high quality development. The whole town should be mobilized to promote enterprises to accelerate transformation and innovation, take the initiative in leading its development with innovation, win the hard “battle” of  converting the “kinetic energy” that drives the town’s development from the old one to a new one, and playing well in “boxing combinations” for promoting quality changes, by focusing on the goal of building Zhoushi town into a picturesque and happy place, concise,  efficient, with a well-developed economy and beautiful environment.
